« La réforme de la gouvernance des sociétés ouvertes : analyse et évaluation du cadre normatif émergent », Autorité des marchés financiers, 2005-2006.
The general goal of this research project is to evaluate the legal and institutional framework of corporate governance for public companies and to determine whether or not this framework actually promotes the creation of value in the various implicated partnerships, while respecting the objectives of proper functioning of the market and of investor protection. More specifically, this project intends to study whether or not the governance mechanisms borne from the recent reform initiatives further the sought-after objectives by lessening the conflicts within public companies. If so, this research will uncover the gaps in this framework and will help delve into alternative paths for solutions.
Credit Rating Agencies : Need for Reform in Canada ? Capital Markets Institute, University of Toronto, 2004-2005.
This project studies the necessity of regulating the activities of credit rating agencies, which play an important role in financial markets. Following the Enron scandal, credit rating agencies were fiercely criticized. This triggered numerous studies and suggested reforms proposed by legislators and regulators. This project aims to find the sources of concern raised by the credit rating agencies' activities and to assess whether regulatory measures are necessary in Canada.
« Gouvernance, juricomptabilité et création de valeur ». Alliance de recherche sur la nouvelle économie, Conseil de recherche en sciences humaines, 2002-2005.
